S 620 Financial Reporting & Analysis (BA 650 is a pre-req)

Once the pre-requisite is complete, you are eligible to take any remaining courses in the Same Category

  • Your program must consist of 620, 625, 624, and 626 unless you have an undergraduate degree in accounting.  You are advised to take 620 prior to 626.  (Students with an undergraduate degree in accounting will select 10 courses other than 620, 625, 624, and 625 for their degree program 

  • Your program must consist of five additional courses beyond the 620, 625, 624, and 626.  Once the first course in the category has been completed, you should be academically prepared to take any of the other accounting courses in that category.  Since you are in the "professional track", I would prefer you take the bulk of your courses from the Financial and Audit/Systems courses and not take more than one remaining course from the managerial and tax category.  Keep in mind the additional rules:

    • 21 units must be 600 and 700 numbered courses

    • 12 units must be 650 and above courses

    • 15 units in accountancy courses at SDSU

  • Students with undergraduates in accounting may also desire to take courses in other areas.  Some that have been recommended by other students include:
